People in LSF (7) – Heather Hansen

Heather is in charge of marketing LSF & LSM. She is full of great ideas and passion. After passing me several volunteer stories of others’, she finally got a chance to sit down and tell us her own: “I first met Laura about 10 years ago when she started dating my friend Mark. I’ve become closer to Laura over the years….both in our friendship and literally as she lives close enough to me that I can walk to her house! :) I’ve been volunteering with Laura’s Smile Mile since 2008 so this will be my third year helping out. The Latest LSM Meeting

A Smile Mile meeting took place this past Sunday May 16th at event coordinator Denielle’s house. It was the last planning meeting before the 5k run/walk June 5th. We discussed printing of the sponsor banner and t-shirts, items for the goodie bags and logistics of the race day set up. We also had a lively discussion of how

People in LSF (5) – Kathleen Engelbrecht and Gregg Lewison

It’s delightful to keep receiving stories from LSF’s beloved people. We have Kathleen and her husband Gregg this time. Let’s see what Kathleen wanted to say first. “I’ve known Laura since our sophomore year of high school and I’ve helped out with the Smile Mile for 3 years!  At the Smile Mile, I help set up tables, put out food, and decorate (balloons!).  I love volunteering for the Smile Mile because I get to support Laura and her family and help to bring awareness about ovarian cancer.    My favorite part of the Smile Mile is seeing all the wonderful
